o Is Artesano Design a Green Company?
Yes we are. We care about our environment and our planet by utilizing processes and materials that are people and environment friendly. We re-cycle the majority of the copper used in our sinks as well as the wood used as a source of energy.
o Do copper sinks scratch or tarnish?
Copper is a metal, and like all metallic surfaces, may scratch. It is non-porous and will not stain in the traditional sense of the word. However, copper will naturally patina over time, a chemical process that causes the metal to enrich it’s color making each piece more beautiful through the years.
o How do you care and maintain copper sinks?
Taking care of your cooper sink is easy and hassle free. The way to keep your copper basin in optimal condition is to keep it clean. Use mild soap and water and dry it down periodically with a soft cloth. Other cleaners are not necessary. We do not recommend using copper cleaners or acidic substances as they may alter the finish.
o Do copper sinks have antibacterial benefits?

Copper kills hazardous bacteria such as E. coli in a few hours as opposed to stainless steel and other conventional surfaces where bacteria can be present for extended periods of time (weeks in some cases).
o Does Artesano Design offer perfect matching drains?
Yes. Our drains are selected specifically for our basins. The finishes of our drains will match the finishes of our basins. The overall cosmetic look will be very pleasant and attractive.
o Does Artesano Design take custom orders?
Yes we do. Custom or non-catalog items will require a 50% deposit and can't be cancelled or returned. Once the custom order is quoted the lead-time is 8 to 10 weeks, depending on the complexity of the piece. Please call us for more details.
o What are the fulfillment and shipping lead times?
We typically ship within 48 hours of receiving and confirming the order. In case that an item is backordered, we will notify you or the dealer immediately and provide a shipping date. Lead-time for backordered catalog items is generally 3 weeks. Bathroom and Bar Collections in Satin Nickel are made to order and have a lead-time of 6 weeks.
Bathtubs are made to order and have a lead-time of 8 weeks for the Cafe Viejo finish and 10 weeks for the special Satin Nickel finish. The Kitchen Collection in Satin Nickel have a 6 weeks lead-time. Our most popular drains the DR001 and DR005 series ships in 48 hours. Please call us for our other custom drain finishes.
o Does Artesano Design have a Privacy Policy?
Yes. Artesano Design respects your privacy and thus will never release any personal information (including your home address, email address, and phone number) to any third party.
o What is Artesano Design Return Policy?
For standard catalog products (non custom) Artesano Design has a 30 days return policy after the ship date of your product. We want to make sure that our customers are 100% satisfied with their purchase. Before you return your product you must contact us via email first so we can provide you with a Return Authorization (RA) number. Customers will pay the associated shipping cost. Product returned or any other reason than damage or defect is subject to a 25% restocking fee. Product can't be returned after 60 days from the ship date.
Damaged products must be reported via e-mail within 5 days of receipt and all original packaging material must be saved so you can use it when returning an item. We do not accept returns on custom made orders, or products that have been installed, used or damaged in any way.
o What is Artesano Design's Limited Warranty?
Artesano Design offers a warranty for defects in workmanship and/or materials for all of our collections when the product was purchased through an authorized Artesano Design dealer.
Due to the intrinsic nature of our handcrafted product and artisan process variations in dimensions, color, texture, hue, hammering uniformity and finishes are expected and not considered defects. Artesano Design offers no warranty with respect to the finishes on the products, as the finishes naturally change over time. Please refer to the care and maintenance of our copper sinks at the beginning of this FAQ section.
Under no circumstance will Artesano Design be held responsible for any damage as a result during or after installation of the product. We will not be responsible for any labor or installation charges, or any other expenses associated with defective product. Artesano Design's only responsibility is the replacement, exchange, or repair of defective product.
The tolerance of our sinks is +/-0.5" and for our bathtubs it is +/-1.0".
What makes each piece unique and one of a kind is that our finishes will vary in appearance, color tones and texture from piece to piece; some pieces will be darker or lighter than others. These variations are more evident in our Natural Finish where some pieces will have larger or smaller areas of black or red than others.
